Boring postcards

Once, I was traveling through Kansas, on my way to South Dakota, and in a gas station I found a postcard of "The World's Largest Municipal Airfield". The picture on the card was, as far as could be seen, just a large, grassy field. It didn't seem to be overtly a joke card, and Kansas is home to Cessna, so there was a certain plausibility to it. I found myself rapt with admiration for whoever had been willing to put such a featureless photo on a postcard, believing it would sell.

Today I found another site, chock-full of hundreds of similar cards.
