OK, we all knew this was true, didn't we: drivers are four times as likely to crash if they're talking on their cell phone.

And in a related event, I long ago identified as a sign of the coming apocalypse the story from Israel of a man who was pulled over for driving erratically, and was found to be using two cell phones at once and driving with his elbows. (The Google search is left as an exercise for the reader — I'm too lazy to find a link just now.)
