Texas. It's a whole 'nother country

And really, it was, for less than a decade. But there are times when it still seems that way. Many Texans are upset at the planned "Minutemen" invasion.

There's a strong feeling in Texas that outsiders should just keep their hands off. One result of this is all of the "Texas Secede" bumper stickers you see there. (One of the most-cherished myths is that Texas retained the right to secede when it joined the Union. Well, it did in fact secede, but it got reined back in the "late unpleasantness". Secession today would likely meet with a similar response.)
